Punjab's biggest festive draw of the year is back. The Punjab State Dear Diwali Bumper 2026, conducted by the Directorate of Small Savings, Banking and Lotteries, Government of Punjab, carries a guaranteed first prize of ₹12 Crore — four times Nagaland's Puja Bumper first prize of ₹3 Crore, and more than fifty times Punjab's own daily Dear 50 first prize of ₹21 Lakh. With 36 lakh tickets printed across twelve zodiac series, this is the largest Punjab draw on the calendar between now and the new year, and the one most likely to repeat the Puja Bumper's search surge.
Diwali itself falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026, and the bumper draw follows eight days later, on Monday evening. Tickets are already on sale through authorised dealers at ₹500 each. This guide covers the full schedule, the complete prize table, the twelve series, and exactly how to check and claim — so that on draw evening you are checking a result, not hunting for information.
The draw takes place on Monday, 16 November 2026, from 6:00 PM IST onwards. It is conducted by the Directorate of Small Savings, Banking and Lotteries, Punjab, and streamed live on the Directorate's official portal. The official results are published in the Punjab State Government Gazette, which is the final document for every claim. Our Punjab page will carry the result on draw evening, as soon as the draw is declared.
Unlike the daily Dear draws, a bumper is a one-off festive scheme: one draw, one ticket series run, and a prize pool far larger than any daily game. That is why bumper weeks drive so much search — everyone holding a ticket checks on the same evening, and everyone who missed the ticket checks what they missed. If you follow Punjab's daily draws as well, our Punjab Dear guide explains the Dear 50, 100, 200, 20 and 1000 family in full.
The scheme pays ten ranks in total: nine prize tiers plus a consolation rank. The winner amounts below are what the ticket holder receives.
| Rank | Winners | Prize (each) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Prize | 1 | ₹12,00,00,000 |
| Consolation | 11 | ₹10,00,000 |
| 2nd Prize | 3 | ₹1,00,00,000 |
| 3rd Prize | 3 | ₹50,00,000 |
| 4th Prize | 12 | ₹10,00,000 |
| 5th Prize | 12 | ₹5,00,000 |
| 6th Prize | 3,600 | ₹9,000 |
| 7th Prize | 3,600 | ₹5,000 |
| 8th Prize | 3,600 | ₹3,000 |
| 9th Prize | 1,80,000 | ₹1,000 |
| Total | 1,90,842 |
Two details matter. First, the ₹12 Crore first prize is drawn from sold tickets only, which is why it is described as guaranteed — it must go to a real buyer. The remaining tiers are drawn from the full printed set of 36 lakh tickets, so some lower-tier prizes can go unclaimed if the ticket was never sold. Second, the scheme's total value is ₹47,85,90,000 including the seller and sub-stockist bonuses paid on each rank; the table above shows the winner's share, which is what a ticket holder actually receives.
Every Diwali Bumper ticket belongs to one of twelve series, each named after a zodiac sign: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Each series carries 3,00,000 tickets numbered 700000 to 999999, making 36,00,000 tickets in total.
The series name is only a label. All twelve series are the same size and are treated identically in the draw, so choosing Aries over Pisces — or the other way round — does not change your odds by anything at all. Pick the sign you like, or whichever series your dealer has in stock, and check the full ticket number, series included, against the result.
On draw evening, check in this order. First, open our Punjab page, where the bumper result will appear with the rest of Punjab's draws. Second, run your number through our ticket checker, which matches it against every published tier at once. Third, before claiming anything, cross-check the winning number against the official gazette — the gazette is the final authority, and no reference page, including this one, replaces it.
Check your ticket against all ten ranks, not just the first prize. A ticket that misses the ₹12 Crore can still win ₹1 Crore, ₹50 Lakh, or one of the 1,80,000 prizes of ₹1,000. And confirm the draw date on the result you are reading: a Diwali Bumper ticket is valid for 16 November 2026 only, and last year's bumper numbers are worthless against this year's draw.
The physical ticket is everything. Prizes up to ₹10,000 can be paid directly by your authorised seller or sub-agent. For anything above ₹10,000, the original ticket — with the reverse side filled in — plus the prescribed application form must reach the Directorate's office in Chandigarh within 30 days of the gazette result publication. Tax is deducted at source under the income-tax law before any prize is paid out, so the amount that reaches you is the prize minus applicable TDS.
Keep the ticket flat, dry and undamaged from the day you buy it. A mutilated or lost ticket cannot be claimed, and no photograph or photocopy substitutes for the original at the Directorate. If you win a large prize, sign the reverse of the ticket and keep a clear photograph of both sides for your own records before you submit it.
Diwali Bumper tickets are paper tickets sold through authorised dealers only. There is no official online sale, and the Directorate does not validate digital-only copies — anyone offering a PDF-only ticket, or charging far above the ₹500 MRP, is not selling you a claimable ticket. Buy from a dealer you can walk back to, check the MRP printed on the ticket, and keep the original safe.
Play responsibly and only with money you can afford to lose. A bumper ticket is entertainment with a very long shot at a very large prize, not an investment and not a plan. Lottery play is for adults. This page is an unofficial reference; always verify winning tickets against the official gazette published by the Directorate before claiming any prize.
