Lottery Sambad

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information Lottery Sambad (lottery.hyperexc.com, "we", "the site") collects when you visit, how that information is used, and the choices and rights you have. By using this website you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

Lottery Sambad is an independent, unofficial information service that republishes Indian state lottery results (Nagaland, Kerala and Sikkim) and provides free tools such as a ticket checker, result chart and archive. We are not a government body and we do not sell lottery tickets. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@hyperexc.com.

2. The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-up and no payments. We never ask for your name, address, phone number, ID documents or bank details, and you should never send them to us. The ticket numbers you save in "My Tickets" stay inside your own browser. The data processed is the technical data every website receives, aggregate analytics that tell us which pages are popular, and — where advertising is enabled — advertising cookies served by Google, as described in the Advertising section below, and — if you switch on Alerts — a push subscription, as described in the Push notifications section below.

3. Key definitions

"Personal data" means information that identifies you, or could reasonably be used to identify you — for example, an email address you write to us from. "Processing" means any operation performed on data, from collecting and storing it to deleting it. "Cookies" are small files stored by your browser; "local storage" is a similar browser feature that keeps data, such as your saved ticket numbers, on your own device. Neither cookies nor local storage on this site are used to build a profile of you.

4. Information we collect

(a) Information you give us. If you email us (for example, to report a wrong number), we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised. Please do not attach photos of winning tickets, ID proofs or financial documents — we never need them and will delete such attachments. If you write to us about a result error, we keep the message until the correction is resolved and for a short period afterwards in case of follow-up questions.

(b) Information collected automatically. When your browser loads a page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data to deliver and protect the site: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages requested, referring page, and the date and time of each request. This data appears in server and security logs. Like every website, we cannot serve you a page without receiving a request from your device — but we do not use this technical data to identify individual readers or combine it with data from other sources.

(c) Analytics data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall usage — for example, how many people read the 6 PM result page, or which tools are used most. Analytics data is aggregate and statistical; we look at totals and percentages, not individuals. We do not use it to identify or profile individual visitors, we have not enabled advertising features or remarketing, and we do not run advertising trackers or behavioural advertising of any kind.

(d) Data stored on your own device. Some features use your browser's local storage: "My Tickets" (the numbers you save), and display preferences. This data is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to our servers, and remains under your control. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it permanently. It also means we cannot recover your saved tickets for you if you change phones or clear your browser — they were never with us.

(e) What we do not collect. We do not collect names (unless you sign an email with one), postal addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, government ID numbers, bank or card details, precise locations, photos, contacts, or any information about children. Our tools work entirely without them. The ticket checker compares numbers you type against published results inside your browser session; saved numbers go to local storage, not to us.

5. Cookies in detail

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. We use a minimal set:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or browse in a private window. Every result page and tool on this site will still work without cookies; only our aggregate statistics become slightly less complete.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Where advertising is enabled on this website, ads are served by Google AdSense. In accordance with Google's requirements for publishers, please note the following:

Depending on your region and your choices, ads may be personalised or non-personalised; even non-personalised ads use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and to combat fraud and abuse. We do not select the individual ads shown, and an ad's appearance on this site is not our endorsement of the advertiser or its product. Opting out of personalised ads, or blocking cookies, does not affect your ability to read results or use any tool on this site.

Push notifications (result alerts)

If you switch on Alerts in "My Tickets", your browser registers a push subscription with this site so that we can notify you when new results are published — even when the site is not open. To deliver those notifications, our server stores the subscription details your browser provides: a device-specific delivery endpoint address and the encryption keys the Web Push standard uses to secure each message. We store no name, email, phone number or other personal details alongside a subscription; it is simply a delivery address your browser created for these alerts.

Alerts contain only result information (for example, "Nagaland Dear 6 PM Result Published — 1st Prize: 95H 88391") and occasional service messages. We do not send advertising through push notifications. Alerts are off by default: nothing is stored and nothing is sent until you tap "Alerts On" and your browser grants permission. You can switch alerts off at any time from "My Tickets"; unsubscribing deletes the subscription from our server, and expired or unreachable subscriptions (for example, from a device that can no longer receive them) are removed automatically. Actual delivery of each message is handled by your browser vendor's push service (for example, Google's or Apple's), which receives the encrypted message and passes it on to your device.

6. Embedded and third-party content

Some result pages display the official result poster issued by a state lottery department. Where a poster image is loaded directly from a department or official source server, that server receives your IP address and browser details as part of serving the image — the same as visiting their site directly — and their privacy practices apply to that request. Links to gazette PDFs likewise take you to the department's own hosting. We do not embed social-media feeds, comment systems or third-party widgets that track readers.

7. How we use information

We do not ourselves build advertising profiles, make automated decisions about you, or sell or rent personal data to anyone. Where advertising is enabled, ads are served by Google under Google's own policies and your ad settings, as the Advertising section above explains — that is a service switched on to fund the site, not your data being sold by us.

8. Sharing of information

Data is processed only by the service providers needed to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery and security) and Google (Analytics, in aggregate form; Search Console, which reports how our pages perform in Google search and does not identify visitors to us; and, where advertising is enabled, AdSense, which serves ads using advertising cookies as described in the Advertising section). If you switch on Alerts, each encrypted notification is also handed to your browser vendor's push service (for example, Google's or Apple's) so it can be delivered to your device — see the Push notifications section. These providers process data under their own privacy policies and, in some cases, on servers outside India; by using the site you understand that technical data is processed wherever those providers operate. We may also disclose information if required by law, a court order, or to protect the site and its readers from fraud or attacks. Apart from these providers, there are no other recipients: no advertisers, no data brokers, no marketing partners.

9. Data retention

Server and security logs are kept for a limited period (normally a few weeks) and then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form for as long as the analytics property is configured to keep it, and is reviewed periodically. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query and handle reasonable follow-ups. Push subscriptions are kept only while you leave Alerts switched on: switching them off deletes the subscription immediately, and subscriptions whose delivery endpoint has stopped working are removed automatically. Local-storage data remains on your device until you delete it — we have no copy and no way to delete it for you.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, is hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard protections, access to its administration is restricted, and it collects so little personal data that there is very little that could ever be exposed. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of an incident affecting personal data we hold (essentially, reader emails), we will notify affected people and the authorities as required by law.

11. Children and age limit

Lottery is a form of gambling restricted to adults. This site is intended for users aged 18 and above, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We do not direct content at children. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Your rights, in detail

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and similar laws elsewhere, such as the GDPR for visitors from Europe), you have meaningful rights over your personal data. Applied to this site, they mean:

To use any of these rights, write to info@hyperexc.com from the address concerned, tell us what you would like, and we will act on it within a reasonable time (normally within 30 days) after verifying the request is genuinely from you. There is no fee for a genuine request.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not ourselves track readers across websites, and our analytics are aggregate and site-specific. Where advertising is enabled, Google's advertising cookies are governed by the Advertising section above and by your choices in Google's Ads Settings, which is the effective control for personalised advertising.

14. Links to other websites

Our pages link to official lottery department websites and documents (for example, official gazette PDFs). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Review them before submitting any information there — in particular, prize-claim portals run by departments may ask for personal documents that we never would.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the tools themselves (for example, if accounts were ever introduced, this policy would be rewritten first). Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

16. Contact and grievance officer

For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact the Grievance Officer, Lottery Sambad, at info@hyperexc.com, or through our Contact page. Please include enough detail for us to understand and act on your concern, and expect an acknowledgement within a few working days.

17. The principles behind this policy

This policy is built on the same principles the DPDP Act is built on: lawfulness and purpose limitation (data is processed only for the purposes stated here), data minimisation (we collect the least data that lets the site work — which is why there are no accounts asking for your name and phone number to show you a lottery result), accuracy (results data is verified and corrected; personal data, where held at all, can be corrected on request), and storage limitation (nothing is kept longer than its purpose requires). If a future feature cannot be built within these principles, the feature will be redesigned or dropped, and this policy updated before launch.

18. Numbers you look up

Two tools deserve a specific note. When you use Number History, the number you enter is sent to the site as part of the page request so our records can be searched; like any page request, it may appear in short-lived technical logs described in section 4(b). A ticket number by itself is not personal data — it identifies a ticket, not a person — but we mention it so nothing about the tools is hidden. The Ticket Checker works against data already published on the result pages. Neither tool asks who you are, and neither result is shared with anyone.
