Congratulations! If your ticket has won, follow these steps to claim your prize. The process depends on the prize amount.
For 2nd prize (₹10,000) or smaller prizes:
1. Take your original ticket to any authorized lottery seller
2. The seller will verify the ticket and pay the prize
3. Carry your ID proof with you
For large prizes like the 1st prize (₹1 Crore):
1. Write your name, address and signature on the back of the ticket
2. Claim within 30 days — don't miss the deadline!
3. Visit the state lottery office or fill the claim form on the official website
4. Documents needed: original ticket, ID proof, address proof, passport-size photo, bank details
Important: Prizes above ₹10,000 attract 30% TDS (tax). So on a ₹1 Crore win, you receive ~₹70 Lakh after tax. This is a government rule.
• Keep your ticket safe — a torn or lost ticket means the prize is gone
• Claim within 30 days
• Sign the back of the ticket immediately after winning
• Never hand your ticket to an agent — claim it yourself
• Beware of fake "lottery department" calls — officials never ask for money on the phone
This is a general guide. Check the official Nagaland State Lotteries or Kerala Lotteries website for the exact process.
