Kerala — India's oldest state lottery, running since 1967 — does not repeat the same lottery every day. Instead, each weekday has its own named lottery with its own ticket series and draw code. All seven are drawn at 3:00 PM, and the full result is published the same afternoon. Knowing which lottery runs on which day is the first step to checking a Kerala ticket correctly.
Sunday — Samrudhi (code SM)
Monday — Bhagyathara (code BT)
Tuesday — Sthree Sakthi (code SS)
Wednesday — Dhanalekshmi (code DL)
Thursday — Karunya Plus (code KN)
Friday — Suvarna Keralam (code SK)
Saturday — Karunya (code KR)
Every Kerala result is identified by its code plus a running draw number — for example SM-77 means the 77th Samrudhi draw, and BT-76 means the 76th Bhagyathara draw. The same code and number are printed on the ticket, so always match the code first: a Sthree Sakthi ticket can never win in a Dhanalekshmi draw, even if the digits look similar. You can browse every recent draw on our Kerala lottery page, organised by date.
Most daily schemes carry a 1st prize of ₹1 Crore, a consolation prize of ₹5,000 (same number, different series), a 2nd prize of ₹25–30 Lakh and a 3rd prize of ₹5 Lakh, followed by six more tiers paid on the last 4 digits — down to a 9th prize of ₹100. Exact amounts vary slightly by scheme, so check the prize list printed with each result. Tickets for the daily lotteries cost around ₹40–50.
Six times a year, the daily schedule makes room for Kerala's famous bumper lotteries with much bigger prizes: the Summer Bumper (March), Vishu Bumper (April–May), Monsoon Bumper (July), the Onam (Thiruvonam) Bumper (September) — the biggest of all, with a 1st prize of ₹25 Crore — the Pooja Bumper (October–November) and the Christmas–New Year Bumper (December–January). Bumper tickets cost more than daily tickets, and their draws replace the regular 3 PM schedule on the bumper day.
1. Note the lottery name and code on your ticket (e.g., Sthree Sakthi SS)
2. Open the result for the correct date — each code is drawn only on its own weekday
3. For the 1st prize, the full series + 6-digit number must match
4. For the 4th–9th prizes, only the last 4 digits need to match
5. Claim within 30 days; prizes above ₹10,000 are claimed through the Kerala Lotteries department with 30% TDS deducted
